unexpected visitors

Kameda-sensei has been driving me around a bit since I arrived in Nippon. She has two little girls. Youngest, Mai (or Mae, I can't tell), oldest, Yumai (or Yumae, I have heard it pronounced both ways). Kameda-sensei went out for groceries on Sunday, her daughters were playing outside while she was away. Do not be alarmed, this happens all the time in Japan. The crime rate is so low, and kidnapping is not even a whisper. Hell, child safety seats are barelyy whispers! Young Mae needed to use the bathroom, so they knocked on my door.
Then they stuck around. We listened to Disney music, colored some pictures, wore princess hats and crumbled Ritz cracker into my MacBook. Fantastic afternoon.

They taught me a few words.
I taught them, "summer" and "color".
I forget to speak these words, they are so cool on the tongue.
