All Along the Watch Tower

(sorry, photo failed to rotate)

So this evening a man in a suit and tie, toting a thin pamphlet, dingdonged the door.
I had no idea who he was or what he wanted, but he said a great deal in Japanese before he handed me the pamphlet where he pointed to the tiny english print at the bottom:
"2006 Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania. Printed in Japan."
I thought I had left him back in the States.
Also, recently one of my students told me that we should not celebrate her Birthday in our English club because she is a Jehovah's Witness and the bible tells us that we should not recognize birthdays.

Since when did Joseph Smith enter Japan? When I told this story to an ALT in Hamada (a city near me), he said that they know a few Mormons in Hamada.
I wonder what they do when they pass family shrines on their way to the front door.

"Printed in Japan."

I know they are completely different.
Having come from VT I know all about Sharon, VT and the "weirdness". I put them together in this blog to demonstrate how amazing the marketing is in both cases.
Isn't it amazing?
BTW-who is this?
