Kotatsu

This post is for the ones who don't live in Japan, and don't know what a kotatsu is.
For those of you who read the, "Gaijin Gazette", this is going to be somewhat of a duplicate...sorry.

Today is Sunday. It is pouring. I did laundry, made hot chocolate and squeezed into my kotatsu like I was headed back into the womb.

It was devine.
This is the step-by-step kotatsu process:

This is what my kotatsu/"table"/"desk"/"only flat surface" usually looks like.

This is what it looked like after I took the lid off.

This is the heating coil at the core of the table.

I put the little heating rug under it.

This is the kotatsu comforter. Notice how it matches the heating rug.

Then I replaced the lid,

and I enjoying kotatsu and chocolate warmy.

YES, I had some time on my hands.
Now you know how I am keeping warm.
